Alex Cottin

Alex has spent the past decade as a Foreign Service Officer with the U.S. Department of State, most recently serving as the Spokesperson at the U.S. Embassy in Burma. His diplomatic career has taken him across Africa, Asia, Europe, and the Middle East, with assignments in a range of high-impact missions, focusing on public diplomacy. Before joining the State Department, Alex spent ten years in the humanitarian sector, holding leadership roles with international NGOs and has worked on relief and development programs in Haiti, Liberia, Kenya, South Sudan, Ethiopia, Gabon, and Nepal. A dual citizen of France and the United States, Alex holds a BA in International Studies and Economics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and an MA in International Development from Sciences Po, Paris. He brings a deep passion for public service and global experience to advance inclusive, people-centered diplomacy and development.
