Jason began working with WCK in 2017 during the Thomas Fire in California and has since assisted with various WCK efforts, across the US and internationally. He brings more than 20 years of experience in the food and beverage industry, where he launched several successful businesses. Now, as Chief Operating Officer, Response Operations, Jason oversees all of our relief work— from emergency response to special operations. He also utilizes his experience in procurement and operations to help our field operations run smoothly. When not working, Jason’s passions include his wife and two children, football, and the outdoors.

  • WCK’s team in Brazil identified an indigenous community five miles south of Porto Alegre in need of support. Members of the Pindo Poty community of the Mbya Guarani ethnic group were displaced from their homes for weeks. Some have been able to return but lack the means to cook for themselves. We provided ingredients and cooking supplies.

  • Reviro—a fried dough made with flour, oil, salt, and water—is a staple for this community. We delivered dozens of pounds of flour so families could prepare the dish, commonly served alongside sweet potatoes, fish, and eggs. Our team was honored to share a plate of reviro with the community. As WCK always does, we ensure the support we offer is culturally appropriate and meets the needs of the communities we serve.

  • WCK teams in eastern Ukraine responded to forest fires this weekend sparked by Russian shelling in the region. Fires like these have become common around Lyman as attacks intensify. Our team provided meals and water to first responders working to contain the blaze.
