    Chief Operating Officer, Response Operations

    Jason began working with WCK in 2017 during the Thomas Fire in California and has since assisted with various WCK efforts, across the US and internationally. He brings more than 20 years of experience in the food and beverage industry, where he launched several successful businesses. Now, as Chief Operating Officer, Response Operations, Jason oversees all of our relief work— from emergency response to special operations. He also utilizes his experience in procurement and operations to help our field operations run smoothly. When not working, Jason’s passions include his wife and two children, football, and the outdoors.

    • Before the war, Dr. Akram was a media professor—he now leads a WCK community kitchen in Khan Younis. He and his team use WCK-provided pellet stoves and ingredients to prepare hundreds of hot meals every day. They also have a small bakery to make saj, a traditional flatbread served with every meal.

    • Preparations to support families impacted by Hurricane Francine continued early this morning in New Orleans. WCK’s Relief Team is ready to distribute plenty of sandwiches and connect with local communities in need.
