Feeding Dangerously: A Graphic Novel
Co-written by José and Steve Orlando, Feeding Dangerously: On the Ground with José Andrés and World Central Kitchen is a graphic novel that follows the WCK Relief Team from Puerto Rico to The Bahamas and beyond to ensure no one is left hungry after a disaster.

The idea for Feeding Dangerously began more than 10 years ago when José and author Steve Orlando connected with the dream of producing a comic together one day. Now, a decade later, Feeding Dangerously is a reality—a beautifully produced book that brings the magic of the people who make World Central Kitchen possible to life through incredible art and storytelling.
Illustrated by Alberto Ponticelli, Feeding Dangerously provides a look into what fuels José and the WCK Relief Team from one emergency to the next. Author Steve Orlando even joined WCK in response to Category 5 Hurricane Michael in 2018 to understand for himself exactly what it means to bring nourishing meals to communities in crisis.
Feeding Dangerously is a truly unique opportunity to learn more about World Central Kitchen and the people we serve in a completely new format. From our efforts after Hurricane María in Puerto Rico to the eruption of the Fuego volcano in Guatemala to our first wildfire response in California to devastating hurricanes in North Carolina and The Bahamas, the history and WCK stories included make this book special and inspiring—outlining over and over again the resilience we meet in people around the world.
Feeding Dangerously is on sale now, and $5 of every purchase is donated to WCK to provide freshly prepared meals for communities in need.
