Leadership Transition at WCK
The Board of Directors of World Central Kitchen today announced the appointment of Chief Operating Officer Erich Broksas and Senior Vice President for Development Erin Gore as interim co-executive leaders of WCK. This decision comes after the Board and our CEO, Nate Mook, agreed to part ways.
We thank Nate for all of his hard work and steadfast commitment to our mission of bringing meals to those in need around the world.
WCK is fortunate to have an exceptionally talented executive leadership team in place who will continue to fulfill our mission during this transition, including our Founder, Director, and Chief Feeding Officer, José Andrés. At this very moment, WCK is providing relief around the world — from feeding those fleeing war in Ukraine and providing millions of lifesaving meals across the country each week, to responding to natural disasters like forest fires in Spain and California. Just last week, we mobilized to support relief efforts in Eastern Kentucky after devastating, deadly floods.
The Board of Directors will begin a search in the coming weeks to identify a new, permanent CEO to guide WCK into the future.
