WCK providing majority of NGO aid to Gaza
World Central Kitchen’s efforts in Gaza account for 62% of all NGO-provided humanitarian aid to reach Palestinians in need, according to a recent report from the Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories. Since first responding to the conflict in the region, our locally-led teams have served more than 30 million meals to displaced families.
The report shows that of the 26,340 tons of aid provided by non-governmental entities, nearly two thirds has arrived in WCK humanitarian aid convoys. Once in Gaza, the desperately needed food and cooking equipment is distributed to our Rafah Field Kitchen and our network of dozens of community kitchens.
