About the Meal Milers
WCK acts with the urgency of now. We are first to the frontlines providing fresh meals to families impacted by crises worldwide. To highlight the work of the people that fuel our efforts—staff, partners, volunteers—a group of new and experienced runners has come together to represent WCK in the 2025 Boston Marathon presented by Bank of America. Together, known as WCK’s Meal Milers, this group from all backgrounds has set personal fundraising goals to support WCK’s work. Learn more about our relief efforts here.

Meet the Runners

Matt Ranalletta
Matt began his marathon journey in 2011 when he ran Chicago for the first time. Since then, he’s run 17 marathons on five continents, and he’s excited to finally get his Six Star Medal in Boston this April by completing the original six of the Abbott World Marathon Majors. He’s grateful to be running for WCK, especially to support their food relief efforts in Gaza and conflict zones around the world.

Adeel Zubair
Adeel has run many races before, including numerous marathons. He is an avid supporter of the work WCK does around the world and is motivated to help stamp out hunger.

Julie McEvoy
Julie recently completed her third marathon, the 2025 Marathon du Medoc, in Bordeaux, France. For her fourth marathon, Julie is committing her training time to a much more meaningful pursuit: raising money to help WCK fulfill our mission of providing fresh meals in response to humanitarian, climate, and community crises around the world.
