WCK Opens New Field Kitchen in Northern Gaza

November 6, 2025

World Central Kitchen (WCK) has resumed large-scale meal production in northern Gaza with the opening of our newest facility. On its first day of operation, the team prepared more than 3,000 meals for nearby hospitals and communities. Since October 2023, WCK has served more than 150 million meals in Gaza.

The new kitchen expands WCK’s capacity in the region, with plans to scale up to 40,000 meals per day in the coming weeks. It joins a network of kitchens across Gaza that are collectively serving more than 600,000 meals daily as WCK works toward our goal of reaching 1 million meals each day.

Four other WCK’s large-scale kitchens operate in the Mawasi and Khan Younis areas, alongside dozens of community-led kitchens serving families most in need.

Earlier this year, WCK operated North Star Kitchen in northern Gaza, which provided meals to families before being forced to close and evacuate. Since then, WCK and local partners have continued supporting northern communities through restaurant partners, food kits, formula milk, and fresh fruit distributions.

With the North Gaza Kitchen now active, WCK is working towards our goals of serving 1 million meals a day across Gaza.
