WCK Relief Team supporting in Madrid after building collapse
World Central Kitchen’s Relief Team is in Madrid, where a multi-story building collapsed. WCK teams are supporting first responders and construction crews working at the site as they conduct search and rescue operations.
WCK’s deep experience responding across Spain allows our teams to move quickly and effectively when crises strike. Earlier this year, WCK teams responded in Ourense, serving first responders and impacted communities as wildfires raged across the region. We also served over 6 million meals in València during the 2024 DANA flooding, supporting the community through the holiday season and into the new year. Earlier this month, we concluded work in Ibiza after destructive floods swept through the island.
