New Coats, Knives Help Culinary Students to Succeed
World Central Kitchen's third class of culinary students is hard at work, studying and preparing to step out into Haiti's hospitality work force and become chefs. While hard work and passion are what drive these students to success, having access to proper equipment elevates their professionalism. Our chefs-in-training are now better prepared than ever thanks to Bragard's donation of chef coats and Zwilling J.A. Henckel's donation of knife kits. Each student received a white chef coat embroidered with the World Central Kitchen logo from Bragard. The knife kits donated by Zwilling J.A. Henckels contained a chef, bread, boning, paring, peeling, and vegetable knife.
WCK's culinary school in Port-Au-Prince provides aspiring chefs with the hands-on training they need to obtain jobs in the hospitality industry. Our students graduate with increased earnings potential and the opportunity to enhance their family's quality of life.
With the help of partners like Bragard and Zwilling J.A. Henckels, WCK's Culinary School will continue to elevate Haiti's economy and strengthen the tourism industry through producing the next generation of Haitian Chefs.
