In collaboration with the Kingdom of Jordan, World Central Kitchen (WCK) has added two new mobile bakeries to our Gaza response, significantly increasing our team’s ability to produce fresh bread each day.

Each bakery has a daily capacity of nearly 70,000 loaves, bringing much-needed stability to communities facing extreme food insecurity. Their arrival brings the total number of Jordan-deployed mobile bakeries in Gaza to three, working alongside four partner bakeries that WCK already supports. Together, these facilities now produce approximately 390,000 loaves of bread every day, supplemented by an additional 13,500 loaves baked in WCK community kitchens.

WCK has served nearly 47 million loaves of bread in Gaza since October 2023.

Earlier this year, the first Jordanian mobile bakery began serving families in Gaza and has since produced millions of loaves of bread. Its success showed just how transformative mobile baking units can be—especially when traditional bakeries have been destroyed or lack critical supplies.

Today, this expanded network of mobile and partner bakeries represents a powerful source of nourishment and hope. For families who have lost homes, livelihoods, and access to basic staples, a fresh loaf of bread is more than a meal—it is a sign of dignity, care, and community resilience. Working hand-in-hand with Jordan and our local partners, WCK remains committed to ensuring families across Gaza have the food they need, one loaf at a time.
