Meet Charlotte, a WCK emergency response restaurant partner

October 28, 2022

Hurricane Fiona slammed into Puerto Rico just over a month ago and proceeded to follow a path of destruction that extended as far north as Canada. WCK’s #ChefsforPuertoRico team was delivering meals to impacted communities within hours of the storm passing and quickly scaled, serving more than 590,000 meals in total.

Restaurant partners all across the territory were instrumental to the success of our response. In total, 16 restaurant partners combined to deliver more than 285,000 nourishing plates of food.

Led by Charlotte Rivera, Mimosa Brunch Farm to Table is a restaurant in Aguadilla—in western Puerto Rico—focused on highlighting local and organic produce. Charlotte received a grant from WCK’s Food Producer Network (FPN) in 2018 that enabled her to realize her dream of creating a space where locals and tourists alike can enjoy delicious food while supporting sustainable agriculture.
