Food producer network 2020 grantee

Pura Parcha

Daniel first received a WCK grant in 2018, which enabled him to purchase a walk-in cooler for his agribusiness Pura Parcha. The business specializes in frozen passionfruit pulp, which is sold to restaurants, grocery stores, and bars around Puerto Rico.

In order to meet growing demand and explore new products, Daniel’s second Food Producer Network will allow him to purchase more equipment and process fruit more efficiently. In addition to planting another 90 acres of passionfruit trees, Daniel seeks to develop new, larger facilities to process the fruit, as well as to support neighboring farmers so that they have an additional outlet in the market.
