Early September flooding forced more than 500,000 people to flee their homes in Punjab. An estimated 3.3 million people are impacted across the province.
Our team on the ground established four field kitchens to prepare nourishing meals. On the first day of meal service we served chicken biryani, a local staple. In addition, we are distributing thousands of food kits with enough ingredients to feed a family of four for 22 days.
In total World Central Kitchen and partners have provided two million meals in Pakistan in response to the flooding.

Rizq—a Pakistani nonprofit—helped us respond to the 2022 floods in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Sindh provinces that impacted at least 33 million people. Establishing kitchens in both provinces, we worked together to distribute more than 77,000 meals and 5,000 food kits across hard-hit villages.
