Jason began working with WCK in 2017 during the Thomas Fire in California and has since assisted with various WCK efforts, across the US and internationally. He brings more than 20 years of experience in the food and beverage industry, where he launched several successful businesses. Now, as Chief Operating Officer, Response Operations, Jason oversees all of our relief work— from emergency response to special operations. He also utilizes his experience in procurement and operations to help our field operations run smoothly. When not working, Jason’s passions include his wife and two children, football, and the outdoors.

  • Katya is checking in from the central Ukrainian city of Kryvyi Rih, where a Russian missile strike on an industrial complex on Monday killed 10 people and injured more than 30 others. WCK is providing emergency responders and members of the community with hot meals, water, hot drinks, sandwiches, energy bars, and biscuits as recovery efforts continue. Our teams are working across Ukraine in response to yesterday’s deadly Russian strikes.

  • Today’s Russian missile strike on the Okhmatdyt children’s hospital in Kyiv has killed at least two people and forced more than 600 patients to evacuate. People from across the city came to help rescuers search the rubble for survivors, and WCK’s Emergency Response Team arrived quickly to provide fresh meals and water to the community reeling from the tragedy.

  • Sam is checking in from Sargent, Texas where Hurricane Beryl caused widespread flooding. The community is still without power, so WCK is providing meals to search and rescue teams and impacted residents. Our teams are now in five countries to support families affected by this historic storm.
