Jason began working with WCK in 2017 during the Thomas Fire in California and has since assisted with various WCK efforts, across the US and internationally. He brings more than 20 years of experience in the food and beverage industry, where he launched several successful businesses. Now, as Chief Operating Officer, Response Operations, Jason oversees all of our relief work— from emergency response to special operations. He also utilizes his experience in procurement and operations to help our field operations run smoothly. When not working, Jason’s passions include his wife and two children, football, and the outdoors.

  • Sandwiches are key for WCK’s Relief Team moving quickly on the ground—they are easy to pack into helicopters and boats, and scouting teams can distribute them to impacted communities while we scale up hot meal production. Chef Corps member Belinda Bishop is helping lead the sandwich lines in Grenada, ensuring we have plenty for the next day’s trips to Carriacou and Petite Martinique.

  • Bilal and Mahmoud, twin brothers from northern Gaza, have been a part of WCK’s team in the region since we served our first meals to displaced Palestinians. Bilal is responsible for transporting supplies from our warehouses to our kitchens. “Seeing people receive a warm meal gives me a sense of satisfaction and happiness,” he said. Mahmoud works at one of our kitchens helping prepare thousands of meals daily. “Preparing food is not just a job; it is a message of love and hope. The smiles on people’s faces after enjoying a delicious meal are the greatest reward for me,” he said.

  • WCK teams responding to Hurricane Beryl in the Caribbean are working with locals to ensure meals reach all families in need. Despite widespread devastation, people remain optimistic. “It could’ve been worse,” said Samuel after his home on Union Island and all his belongings were flooded during the storm. He is already working to repair and rebuild.
