Chief Relief Officer

Jason began working with WCK in 2017 during the Thomas Fire in California and has since assisted with various WCK efforts, across the US and internationally. He brings more than 20 years of experience in the food and beverage industry, where he launched several successful businesses. Now, as Chief Relief Officer, Jason oversees all of our relief work— from emergency response to special operations. He also utilizes his experience in procurement and operations to help our field operations run smoothly. When not working, Jason’s passions include his wife and two children, football, and the outdoors.

  • WCK is in Houma, Louisiana with our new Rapid Response Field Kitchen. Chef Alejandro and the team are preparing to serve thousands of meals to families recovering from Hurricane Francine. The menu includes comforting and familiar dirty rice and smothered chicken.

  • Shadi receives meals from a WCK Community Kitchen. She adds additional spices and mashes the balila—refining the recipe to the way she prepared it at home before the conflict. “Balila is one of the delicious traditional dishes we love. We always miss it in the difficult circumstances we live in. It is cherished by both children and adults, and it gives us a sense of comfort and warmth.”

  • Chef Carlos brought his food truck, El Mas Chingon, to Rancho Santa Margarita to support communities impacted by the Airport Fire. With the help of WCK, he cooked up delicious fish salad and steak & chicken quesadillas at a shelter for local seniors.
