Jason began working with WCK in 2017 during the Thomas Fire in California and has since assisted with various WCK efforts, across the US and internationally. He brings more than 20 years of experience in the food and beverage industry, where he launched several successful businesses. Now, as Chief Operating Officer, Response Operations, Jason oversees all of our relief work— from emergency response to special operations. He also utilizes his experience in procurement and operations to help our field operations run smoothly. When not working, Jason’s passions include his wife and two children, football, and the outdoors.

  • Fighting in central Gaza has forced WCK’s Deir al-Balah Field Kitchen, and several of our Community Kitchens, to pause operations. The team at our Al-Mawasi kitchen is working tirelessly to increase production to help meet the needs of some of the people who relied on meals from the kitchens forced to pause work.

  • WCK’s team in Puerto Rico arrived on the island of Culebra the day after Tropical Storm Ernesto made landfall. While assessing needs, we delivered food to a family who’s roof was destroyed by the storm. This week, we are providing dozens of meals daily to people on the island who remain without electricity.

  • “Despite my physical disability, I possess a strong will and unwavering determination. I face the current reality with courage through my service to my community in these challenging times.” Amina works at a Community Kitchen in Gaza staffed entirely by persons with disabilities. This team, supported by WCK and the Atfaluna Society for Deaf Children, provides much-needed hot meals for their community.
