Erin Gore Named Chief Executive Officer
The World Central Kitchen Board of Directors has announced Erin Gore as Chief Executive Officer of WCK. For almost four years, Erin has led WCK’s philanthropic relationships and development team, and most recently served as WCK’s interim Co-Executive Leader.
“Erin’s vision and extensive leadership experience at nonprofits, alongside her deep history and understanding of WCK, will serve as an invaluable resource as we continue our growth and respond to an increasing number of global crises each year,” said Rob Wilder, WCK’s Chairman and Co-Founder. “Her deep commitment and ability to build and support our mission – especially through our partnerships and closely collaborating across our teams – will ensure our ability to help communities long into the future.”
Erin will continue to work alongside WCK’s executive leadership team including our Founder and Chief Feeding Officer, Chef José Andrés, as well as WCK’s Relief Team, to mobilize with urgency to start cooking and serving meals around the world. WCK has served nearly 300 million meals to communities in need in more than 45 countries.
“I’m incredibly honored to step into the CEO role and to help lead such an impactful NGO through this significant time of growth,” said Erin Gore. “Our mission of providing meals in times of crisis is more important than ever, and WCK is uniquely suited to quickly fill critical gaps and extreme needs in the immediate aftermath of a disaster. I look forward to guiding this incredible team to meet the increasing and evolving needs of communities around the world.”
Erin has been a critical member of WCK’s executive leadership through our largest moments of growth, helping navigate the organization through transformative crisis responses, including Covid-19 and the invasion of Ukraine. WCK’s annual revenue has significantly increased under Erin’s leadership, enabling relief teams to serve hundreds of millions of more meals around the world. Throughout her tenure, Erin has built a robust team focused on developing and fostering relationships with WCK’s supporters, and has implemented new initiatives to strengthen the organization, including establishing WCK’s first advisory group, the Frontline Advisors, which consists of notable supporters who guide the organization on essential initiatives.
