#ChefsForThePolls: Big Election Day Plans
As we reach the culmination of a whirlwind historic election season, WCK has seen up close in more than 200 cities the power of food to bring hope to our nation. Since the early days of Chefs for the Polls when we shared meals with Georgians standing in hours-long lines in Marietta, we have served more than 300,000 meals around the country.
This past weekend, WCK served meals in more than 25 states, and met thousands of people coming out for their communities. Here are a few more stories from Chefs for the Polls ahead of Election Day, when we plan to serve 160,000 meals in 250 cities and towns. This is all thanks to you, World Central Kitchen’s supporters, who are here for us not only in times of disaster, but in times of community as well. Funds donated over the next 24 hours will be doubled to provide up to 20,000 more meals, helping us reach even more of our neighbors around the country through Chefs For The Polls.
