WCK Is En Route To Colorado After Destructive Wildfires

June 30, 2026

WCK’s Relief Team is en route to Pueblo, Colorado, where thousands of people have been forced to evacuate their homes due to wildfires.

The burn area currently encompasses over 22,000 acres, and towns like Beulah, Rye, and San Isabel have issued mandatory evacuation orders. High winds are causing the fires to spread quickly, and many families are staying in evacuation shelters as first responders work to contain the flames. The fires have also disrupted roadways, and many residents have been advised to stay indoors due to poor air quality.

WCK teams are working with our trusted local partners to ensure families have the meals they need during this difficult time.

Our teams served communities in Colorado in late 2021 and early 2022, when a historic back-to-back wildfire and snowstorm left families without access to food in the greater Boulder area. We also supported communities in Colorado in 2020 at the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic. Working hand in hand with over 70 local restaurant partners, we served thousands of meals to impacted families.

This remains a quickly evolving situation. You can sign up to our newsletter to receive more information and follow us on Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook for real time updates.
