WCK Further Expands Europe Wildfire Relief in Castellón, Salamanca, and Zamora
As wildfires shift across southern Europe, WCK teams are expanding our response to reach people in need. We began by serving families and first responders in Ávila and Madrid impacted by the Burgohondo fire. People in this part of central Spain are starting to return home as evacuation orders are lifted. At the same time, needs are on the rise across Castellón, Salamanca, and Zamora where the volatile wildfire season keeps escalating. We are expanding into these communities to ensure residents have consistent access to meals.

Earlier this week, we also began responding to the wildfires in the Gironde region of southern France. Working closely with restaurant partners and local community members, our teams are serving families and first responders in the impacted area, which is currently four times the size of Paris.
As this fire season becomes more intense, WCK’s network of restaurant partners, Chef Corps members, and volunteers are there to serve people in need of a meal.
This remains a quickly evolving situation. You can sign up to our newsletter to receive more information and follow us on Instagram, Twitter, Bluesky, and Facebook for real-time updates.
