First Alert: WCK Responds to Texas Hill Country Floods

July 15, 2026

World Central Kitchen is en route to the Texas Hill Country where communities are under a Flash Flood Emergency. Heavy rains in southern Texas have caused dangerous flooding that locals are calling the worst in 20 years. More than 75 people have already been rescued from rising floodwaters, and the situation continues to develop. Our Relief Team is mobilizing to make sure first responders and impacted families have the food and water they need.

This is not the first time our teams have responded in Hill Country. One year ago, WCK served meals to first responders and families after flooding sent the Guadalupe River to its second-highest level on record. We know these communities—and we are on our way.

This remains a quickly evolving situation. You can sign up to our newsletter to receive more information and follow us on Instagram, Twitter, Bluesky, and Facebook for real-time updates.
