WCK in Spain in the midst of severe flooding
WCK’s Relief Team is in Spain to see how we can best assist communities impacted by severe flooding along the Mediterranean coast.
WCK Relief Team members are en route to help meet the communities’ needs for food and water. More than a month’s worth of rain fell in a day, flooding roads and homes, breaching rivers, and destroying crops along the Mediterranean coast. Spain’s meteorological agency said one station recorded the heaviest rainfall in a 24-hour period in Valencia since 1996. Over 100,000 households are without electricity.
WCK’s Chef Oli is assembling a team to travel to the impacted areas today.
