World Central Kitchen responded in Reno, Nevada, where the Hawk Fire burned more than 15,000 acres and forced approximately 87,000 people in Reno and Washoe County are under evacuation orders.
This response comes during one of the most active wildfire periods in recent memory. Earlier this month, WCK responded to devastating fires in Spokane, Washington. Over the summer, our teams concluded an extensive response to fast-moving wildfires across multiple regions of Spain.
