Jason began working with WCK in 2017 during the Thomas Fire in California and has since assisted with various WCK efforts, across the US and internationally. He brings more than 20 years of experience in the food and beverage industry, where he launched several successful businesses. Now, as Chief Operating Officer, Response Operations, Jason oversees all of our relief work— from emergency response to special operations. He also utilizes his experience in procurement and operations to help our field operations run smoothly. When not working, Jason’s passions include his wife and two children, football, and the outdoors.

  • “Since the beginning of the war, everyone in the community has been contributing to help people in various fields. Despite our disabilities, we have strived to be part of these positive efforts and provide food to families in need. This brings us joy and motivates us to keep going.” Naila is part of the team at a WCK-supported Community Kitchen in Gaza staffed by persons with disabilities. The team here, also with the support of Atfaluna Society for Deaf Children, uses its extensive culinary experience to cook nourishing meals for families in the area.

  • Families in Pokrovsk are being forced to evacuate their homes as Russian forces attack communities in the eastern Donetsk region. People are heading to western Ukraine in search of safety and WCK teams are providing meals, fruit, and water to help make the journey easier.

  • Everywhere WCK responds to a disaster we purchase as much food locally as possible. In Grenada, we are working with local farms to source the freshest produce for our kitchens. This allows us to serve nourishing, culturally appropriate meals while supporting the economy as Hurricane Beryl recovery efforts are underway.
