Jason began working with WCK in 2017 during the Thomas Fire in California and has since assisted with various WCK efforts, across the US and internationally. He brings more than 20 years of experience in the food and beverage industry, where he launched several successful businesses. Now, as Chief Operating Officer, Response Operations, Jason oversees all of our relief work— from emergency response to special operations. He also utilizes his experience in procurement and operations to help our field operations run smoothly. When not working, Jason’s passions include his wife and two children, football, and the outdoors.

  • The entire village of Hajipur was devastated by monsoon flooding, and families had to leave their waterlogged homes and shelter in a local school. WCK teams delivered dry food kits, which include essentials like rice, potatoes, lentils, and potable water, to the community.

  • WCK’s team in Zaporizhzhia delivered hot meals and water to firefighters by boat on the Dnipro River for three days last week. The first responders were working to extinguish fires on islands and floodplains near the Russian-occupied Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant.

  • Chef Oli, WCK response lead in Bangladesh, checks in from Moulvibazar where we are using boats to distribute food kits, water, and samosas to communities isolated by floodwaters. Oli was in Bangladesh in 2022 when we distributed 1.6 million meals to communities in and around the city of Sylhet after flooding. The connections he and others made then have proven critical to WCK’s ability to begin distributing food so quickly.
