Jason began working with WCK in 2017 during the Thomas Fire in California and has since assisted with various WCK efforts, across the US and internationally. He brings more than 20 years of experience in the food and beverage industry, where he launched several successful businesses. Now, as Chief Operating Officer, Response Operations, Jason oversees all of our relief work— from emergency response to special operations. He also utilizes his experience in procurement and operations to help our field operations run smoothly. When not working, Jason’s passions include his wife and two children, football, and the outdoors.

  • The roof of Elmore’s home was ripped off when Hurricane Beryl hit Canouan, an island in St. Vincent and the Grenadines. Like many neighbors, he lost many of his belongings and the ability to prepare food at home. He has been going to WCK’s restaurant partner on the island to receive nourishing meals. “The food is very good and tasty, I am enjoying it very much,” he told our team.

  • WCK established a Field Kitchen on Carriacou to reach the families hit hardest when Hurricane Beryl hit Grenada. The kitchen is entirely run by local chefs, most of whom lost their homes to the storm. We are cooking comforting meals like jerk chicken, mahi mahi curry, coconut fish, and creole chicken.

  • The World Central Kitchen team in Ukraine is safe after our clearly marked armored aid vehicle was struck by a Russian drone equipped with an explosive device near Oleksandrivka. Thankfully, no injuries are reported.
