Jason Collis
Chief Operating Officer, Response Operations
Jason began working with WCK in 2017 during the Thomas Fire in California and has since assisted with various WCK efforts, across the US and internationally. He brings more than 20 years of experience in the food and beverage industry, where he launched several successful businesses. Now, as Chief Operating Officer, Response Operations, Jason oversees all of our relief work— from emergency response to special operations. He also utilizes his experience in procurement and operations to help our field operations run smoothly. When not working, Jason’s passions include his wife and two children, football, and the outdoors.

WCK is working shoulder to shoulder with @AneraOrg to distribute meals to Palestinian families sheltering in northern Gaza. Our team provided more than 3,000 boxes of meals ready-to-eat—the equivalent of over 120,000 meals—that were distributed in Gaza City and surrounding communities with support from Anera.

“I’m a veteran and one of my company tenets is serving people who serve.” Chef Jeremy drove his food truck, B.UN.S, from Albuquerque to Ruidoso to support first responders fighting the wildfires. He made bagged lunches with delicious sandwiches, which local emergency management teams delivered to crews working in exclusion zones due to ongoing recovery efforts.

Shukri used to run a thriving restaurant in Gaza City until it was destroyed at the onset of the war. He fled northern Gaza in search of a job and has since been working at one of WCK’s kitchens in central Gaza. Like all our Palestinian team members, he shows up every day to support people who, like him, have been displaced by the conflict.
