Meet WCK’s Fleet
The WCK Fleet
Reaching communities in need requires a specialized fleet of vehicles. From a first-of-its-kind food truck to an amphibious vehicle, our Relief Team uses all available resources to ensure nourishing meals reach people in need. Scroll down to meet our fleet.
Mobile Kitchens
To reach isolated communities quickly, we developed the mobile kitchens. These state-of-the-art mobile kitchens enable our teams to start cooking thousands of meals immediately after a disaster.
Rapid Response Mobile Kitchen
Our two Rapid Response Mobile Kitchens are 43-foot-long trucks converted into kitchens that our Relief Team can use to cook approximately 20,000 meals daily. Built with support from Wells Fargo and Home Depot, these are our largest custom-designed mobile kitchens. The vehicle is equipped onboard with all the essential tools needed to prepare nourishing meals in disaster-impacted communities. The vehicles were built by Adventure Built Expedition.
Rapid Response Field Kitchen
Unlike traditional food trucks, our team cooks outside this vehicle, using large paella pans to create a full Field Kitchen. With this innovative truck, we can begin distributing hundreds of hot meals within two hours of arriving in an affected community. The Rapid Response Field Kitchen, built with support from WCK partner Dollar General, is custom-designed to access hard-to-reach areas efficiently.
Our Rapid Response Field Kitchen was first deployed when Hurricane Debby hit the Big Bend area of Florida in August, 2024. The vehicle enabled us to quickly reach isolated areas of need. Watch the video below to see it in action.

Semi-truck kitchen
Originally used to support our #ChefsForUkraine effort, this semi-truck turned mobile kitchen can prepare 10,000 meals daily. Our Relief Team can transport it directly to sites in need or use it as a central kitchen to distribute food to multiple nearby communities. The truck played a vital role when the team drove it to Spain to support families impacted by devastating floods.
This truck is capable of doing amazing things for communities impacted by natural disasters or conflicts. It delivered thousands of meals in Ukraine during the worst times. It’s an important part of WCK.

Food Trucks
WCK has 8 Relief Food Trucks—4 in the US and 4 in Spain—that provide the flexibility and speed we need to respond effectively in disaster zones. These mobile kitchens can be deployed quickly to impacted areas, allowing teams to prepare and serve hot, nourishing meals within hours of arrival. Our food trucks can reach isolated communities that may otherwise struggle to access aid. They also enable scalable operations, as meals can be cooked and distributed efficiently as we assess need and determine if the operation requires a larger kitchen. By quickly bringing a kitchen in the form of a food truck directly to the crisis, we can deliver immediate comfort and sustenance to families in need. In addition to our own trucks, we also work with a network of local food truck businesses to reach as many people as possible.
Sherp amphibious vehicle
Sherp, a Ukrainian-made utility vehicle, is renowned for its ability to navigate rough and waterlogged terrain. Its capabilities make Sherp ideal for reaching communities isolated by flooding. The vehicle’s standout feature is its oversized wheels, equipped with an onboard inflation and deflation system.
This technology enables Sherp to traverse water, dense brush, and even fragile surfaces like thin ice. Sherp’s unique capabilities are invaluable in disaster scenarios. Its ability to overcome impassable terrain allows our Relief Team to reach remote and flood-affected areas quickly, identify regions with the most urgent needs, and deliver supplies.
Sherp in action
In 2019, Hurricane Dorian washed out the bridge to communities in Cedar Harbor, Fox Town, and Crown Haven in the Bahamas. We drove around the bridge to deliver fresh fruit and meals.
Support vehicles
In addition to specialized vehicles designed to cook and distribute meals in the harshest environments, WCK also deploys support vehicles to help teams safely operate in post-disaster settings. These include pickup trucks, armored vehicles, and an RV.
The rugged design, high clearance, towing capacity, and off-road capability of pickup trucks allow them to navigate debris-laden streets, flooded areas, and rugged terrain where larger vehicles cannot operate. Armored vehicles are essential for ensuring the safety of teams working in conflict zones. The RV provides lodging and office space during responses in highly isolated communities where other accommodations are unavailable.
Each vehicle type can transport both goods and people, making them crucial for efficiently coordinating relief efforts.
By all means available
Our Relief Team operates worldwide, including locations where our permanent fleet is unavailable. For this reason, we collaborate with impacted communities to secure vehicles that enable us to assess needs, cook, distribute meals, and handle all aspects of complex emergency responses.
We have developed a global network of food truck partners capable of cooking soon after a disaster. We utilize charter helicopters and boats to reach isolated communities. Our teams adapt to ensure meals are delivered to areas inaccessible to large vehicles. In some cases, we have used motorcycles in locations where roads are unsuitable for trucks or cars. When roads are completely washed out, we have relied on horses, donkeys, and hiking to carry meals.
Donkeys
As WCK teams brought kitchen equipment to villages in Morocco’s Atlas Mountains following the devastating earthquake, the difficult terrain presented a challenge. We reached homes in three remote villages with the help of several donkeys transporting 32 boxes of equipment and burners.
Boats
As part of our Hurricane Beryl efforts, WCK teams delivered meals by boat to people in Grenada working tirelessly along the coast to recover sunken vessels. We provided meals like burritos that are nourishing and easy to eat while out on the water.
Helicopters
In Mexico, the WCK team responding to Hurricane Otis used helicopters to fly meals to remote communities.
